This long beach boasts five Blue Flags, an international recognition for exceptional water quality, beach service, safety, and high ecological standards. Specifically, these flags are awarded to SBS, Blue Beach, Escallera, S and I Beach Life, and Poseidon.
Jaz Beach has one of the best sea entrances in Budva. The water is clear and transparent, and the clean pebbles and large-grain sand cover the sea bottom, with no algae or large rocks. This makes it ideal even for those uncomfortable swimming above algae-covered floors.
In 2015, Jaz Beach was rightfully chosen as the most beautiful beach in Europe by the famous travel website Lonely Planet. Its beauty remains just as captivating today.
The beach consists of two parts: Jaz 1 on the right and Jaz 2 on the left, connected by a slightly narrower path. While the path may contain larger rocks in some parts, making slippers advisable, the other part is a boardwalk that runs along Jaz 2.
Two Distinct Experiences
Jaz 1: This part is lively and bustling, with numerous cafes and restaurants, sunbeds and umbrellas for rent, and background music that can sometimes be a bit loud. There’s even a large inflatable bouncy castle in the sea. The restaurants offer great food delivered to your sunbed, excellent free Wi-Fi, and reasonable prices. Some restaurants are very kid-friendly (link!). The beach is pet-friendly, which is useful to know whether you like it or not. At the far right of Jaz 1, you’ll find a section with the finest sand, which is rare in Budva where pebble beaches are more common.
Jaz 2: Ideal for those who enjoy a more peaceful and natural environment, Jaz 2 is almost untouched. Besides the boardwalk along the beach and one cafe at the far left, it features only pebbles. The only nudist beach in Budva is located in the far-left corner of Jaz 2.
Jaz Beach is about 2.5 km from Budva city center, a short cab ride away. If you drive, there’s a huge FREE parking area next to a popular auto-camp.
